Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

The short version: Braindump collects nothing. Everything you create stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Braindump does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in Braindump — projects, notes, photos, and voice transcriptions — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server operated by us, and Braindump has no backend.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you use voice capture, Braindump asks for microphone and speech recognition permission. Audio is transcribed using Apple's speech recognition on your device (or, depending on your iOS settings, Apple's servers as governed by Apple's privacy policy). Braindump itself never stores or transmits your audio.

Camera and photos

When you attach a photo, Braindump asks for camera or photo library permission. Photos you attach are stored only inside the app on your device.

Analytics and tracking

Braindump contains no analytics, no ads, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Braindump ever changes how data is handled (for example, optional iCloud sync), this policy will be updated before that version ships.
